Job description:
Under the supervision of the Technical Service Manager, the Technical Service Representative is responsible for understanding and supporting customers’ technical needs within an assigned territory and/or dedicated application (Injection, Blow molding, Flexible films, Extrusion).
Activities include providing technical service to accounts, building relationships with key technical and manufacturing personnel from the work sites of clients, identifying product requirements to guarantee successful usage of our products by customers, relaying information and insights regarding customer needs to the manufacturing group, and serving as the technical liaison between management, manufacturing, and sales. Provide problem-solving and other technical support to customers, Sales, and others.
Responsibilities:
Ensures that all customers are regularly visited and receive technical advises, appropriate support and service they require and need to remain satisfied; Provides customers with technical assistance in analyzing their products and quality requirements, advising and recommending the best products for their applications, following trials results performed by customers; Support sales with technical competencies in the relations with customers; Informs regularly the sales, marketing, technical and production staff about customers’ needs, requests and problems; Stimulates and recommends improvements of product quality; Participates to the development of new projects; Manages the technical aspects of customer’s quality complaints; Explores the technical requirements of new products or markets; Issues necessary detailed reports;
This position will require travels up to 50%; Performs all other additional projects and duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Science and/or Chemical Engineering or Materials (ideally focused on polymers and related conversion processes and application); First professional experience in Packaging or listed segments will be a strong asset; Fluent in French and English, further languages knowledge is an advantage; Excellent communication skills; Analytical mind; Microsoft office: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint; Strong business skills; Autonomous and flexible; Problem solving, customer focus.
