Downstream Bioprocess Research Specialist

As a Bioprocess Engineer – DSP you perform and manage Downstream Processing (DSP) projects for the recovery of proteins/enzymes post fermentation at Puratos’ R&D site in Andenne. You lead process & technologies improvements initiatives in coordination with the bioprocess manager and support tech transfer into manufacturing or quality control.

Key Accountabilities

DSP – 70%

•  You explore and develop new DSP and formulation related technologies to ensure continuous improvement of processes, technologies and tools currently used at Puratos for enzyme/protein recovery post fermentation (including but not limited to MF, UF, chromatography, sterile filtration….)
•  You design and lead the process development, characterization, scale-up and tech transfer to onsite manufacturing facilities
•  You coach and mentor junior colleagues in the team and you provide expertise and guidance on downstream processing
