Reporting to the General Manager, and functionally reporting to the APAC R&D Director and Group R&D Director, this role has the mission of designing and implementing the Research, Development, and Innovation strategy for bakery and patisserie in Australia and New Zealand. The R&D and Innovation strategy for Australia and New Zealand will include both short term definitions (three-year innovation pipeline, local research initiatives, customer solution’s development) and long term research projects into local and regional ingredients and flavors or more complex tailor-made developments based on local eating and consumption habits.
A key connector in a matrix organization, the Australian R&D Manger will work in collaboration with the regional and HQ team, other functions while driving Australia R&D agenda forward.
Lead & supervise the R&D team with continuous improvement to transform technologies into innovative & value add solutions in accordance with market or Customer requirements. Leading to implementation of new products in local production and launch in the market. Hands on with continuous improvement and transformation of Puratos bakery & patisserie ingredients offerings, particularly, with a focus on bread improvers, liquid sourdough, bread and patisserie premixes whilst working collaboratively with the Business Development team.
